Shirley Burleson, 73, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the Higher Call Nursing Home in Quapaw, Oklahoma.
Shirley was born on September 10, 1947 to Lloyd and Martha (Brown) Lawrence in Miami, Oklahoma. She lived in Wyandotte most of her life and was a Residential Care Facility manager for several nursing homes in the Carthage and Seneca areas.
She is survived by two sons, Jason Burleson of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, and Troy Burleson of Lonoke, Arkansas; three daughters Barbara Griffin of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, Lora Burleson of Carthage, Missouri, and Wanda Williams of Diamond, Missouri; 15 grandchildren Makayla, Brent, Scott, T.J., Skyler, Cody, Ty, Cadence, Bentley, Timber, Colton, Cory, Jennifer, Aaron, and Samantha; and numerous great- grandchildren.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, her boyfriend, Thomas Rea; one son, John Burleson (July 20, 2008); and one brother Jack Hosier of Neosho, Missouri.
