Tigers earn walk-off win over Joplin at Carl Lewton Stadium

CARTHAGE, Mo. — A single by Blayne Lilienkamp in the bottom of the seventh inning with two outs scored the winning run in the Tiger’s 3-2 walk-off win over Joplin at Carl Lewton Stadium Tuesday.

Landon Bland started on the mound for Carthage, but once again did not figure in the decision. Bland did manage to lower his ERA to 1.83 by holding Joplin to two runs (one earned) on four hits over six innings, striking out three and walking three.

Brady Carlton (2-0, 1.40 ERA) earned the win for the Tigers. He pitched one scoreless inning in relief, striking out two and walking none.

Left fielder Landon West was 2-for-2 with one walk for the Tigers. Lilienkamp and Ty Perry each drove in a run.

Carthage moved to 12-12 on the season and travels to Nixa Thursday to face the Eagles. First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
