Nancy Marie White, 82, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024, in Joplin, Missouri. Nancy was born September 29, 1942, in Des Moines, Iowa to Jack and Betty Carron. She spent most of her adult life in Jasper, Missouri, since the early 1960’s. Nancy started driving a bus for Jasper Schools in 1969 and retired after 35 plus years in 2008.

Nancy was united in marriage to Billy Lee White on September 17, 1960, in Lamar, Missouri.

Fun fact: after getting married they worked that night to take Lamar fair down for extra cash. Which was their life together.   A hardworking couple to provide for their family.

Bill preceded her to heaven in May 2020 after almost 60 years of marriage.

They raised three kids.  Mom used to say, “Billy goat, Nanny goat and their three kids!”

Those kids are two sons, David Linn White (Becky) of Mansfield, Texas and Danny White (Rhonda) of Willard, Missouri; one daughter, Debby Baker of Carthage, Missouri; three grandchildren, Heather Christenson-Reeves of Carrollton, Texas; Ben White and Brianna White (Hannah), both of Springfield, Missouri; three great grandchildren, Tristyn Christenson, AJay Reeves and Kiernan Reeves.

Two brothers, Thomas Pence (Joyce) of Oklahoma and Greg Carron, California. Three sisters Gaye Wood, of Pennsylvania, Pam Gilkey of Tennessee, Becky Carr of Florida In-laws: Jan White, Jack & Pat White and Helen Burr, all of Lamar, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews and families.

Nancy is preceded by her husband, parents, Jack Carron and Betty Shaw; a son-in-law, Mark Baker; her in-laws, Cordis and Lucille White; brothers-in-law, Tom, John, Donnie, Ray, Bob Wood, and Chuck Carr, sister-in-law, Darlene White and sister Aggie Angel; and nieces, Tracy Angel and Tina White.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2024, at the Jasper Christian Church in Jasper, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Jasper Christian Church, or Solace House of the Ozarks in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
