Darrell Wayne Whitson passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, at the age of 60 in Carthage, Missouri. Born on February 18, 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of the late Jerry and Almeita (Wilson) Whitson. Darrell worked as an electrician for many years until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman, finding solace and joy in the quiet moments by the water. His love for building model hot rods was more than a hobby; it was a passion that allowed him to express his artistic side and share his creations with those he loved.
Darrell’s legacy is carried on by his beloved children, Trey, Robin, and Laura, sisters, Ronda Hency (Stephen), Dana Martin, and Sheila Mathews, and his several grandchildren who will miss his guidance and the laughter he brought into their lives.
Darrell was also preceded in death by a son Kenny.
Per Darrell’s wishes there was cremation and private family services will be held at a later date.
