John “Doug” Douglas Paugh, 60, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 17, 2023. Doug was born on August 12, 1963, in Carthage, Missouri, to Joseph and Hazel Paugh. He was a resident of Carthage and Joplin. Doug was an over the road truck driver before working for CNC Machine Products in Joplin for the past 13 years. He really enjoyed spending his free time in the great outdoors fishing and spending time with his grandbabies.
Doug was united in marriage to Cheryl Bresee on September 7, 2007, in Miami, Oklahoma; she survives.
Along with his wife Cheryl Paugh, he is survived by one son Joshua Rumble of Galena, Kansas; two daughters, Stephanie Bresee of Riverton, Kansas, and Ashley Lee Masters of Joplin; four grandchildren Gracelyn, McKinley, Cayden, and Rosalynn; and one brother Mack Paugh of Webb City.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Gene Paugh and Tom Paugh.
A visitation is scheduled for Doug from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri.
