On Sunday, April 17, 2022, Elaine Stanley, 98, heard “well done good and faithful servant” as she entered her heavenly home on Easter Sunday to join the celebration in heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She left behind an amazing legacy. A legacy of devout faith, unconditional love and an unwavering dedication to her family. She was a true servant of the Lord to everyone she met. Even in her sickness, her focus was on everyone serving the Lord, especially her family. Elaine was born December 2, 1923 to Jesse Homer and Mary Ellen (Adams) Fawcett.

She married Bert Stanley on August 2, 1942 in Bossier City, Louisiana just before his deployment overseas in the Army Air Corp. After his service, they eventually settled in Carthage, Missouri. Elaine worked at various jobs, but her last was school secretary at Hawthorne School in Carthage. She loved “her” kids at the school. After retirement she was a servant within her church and lovingly cared for all. Whether it was sending cards to ALL relatives and church family, buying “thinking of you” gifts, supplying a meal or making homemade ice cream.
