On Saturday Feb. 11, 2023, the Carthage Charles S. Edwards Post 2590 and its Auxiliary announced the winning Teachers for this years teacher of the year award for the Post and The District.
They were also joined by The District 7 VFW President and members, to awarded the following teachers with Post and District awards:
- 1st place teacher was Julie Perry (Carl Junction) High School division
- 2nd place teacher was Barbara Keton (Anderson) Jr High division
- 3rd place teacher was Angel Ambrosha (Carthage) Elementary division
Each teacher received a certificate along with a monetary gift and other thank you gifts, So thankful for all the nominations.
