On September 21, 2021 the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office animal control officer assisted Oronogo Police Department at 247 Victor St. in Oronogo.

The response was in reference to the owner of eighteen (18) dogs voluntarily releasing ownership. This follows eight dogs that had been released a month ago at the same residence.

The owner of the dogs agreed to release them after six people, including a law enforcement officer, had been bitten by the dogs.
