Strong to severe thunderstorms expected late Wednesday into Thursday

Showers and thunderstorms will continue into Wednesday morning before diminishing from West to East from late morning into the afternoon.

Cloud to ground lightning, small hail and locally heavy rainfall will be the primary potential hazards.

Strong to potentially severe thunderstorms are then expected from late Wednesday night into Thursday. Damaging wind and large hail will be the primary potential severe weather hazards. There would also be a limited risk for a few tornadoes if enough instability can materialize.

Additionally, there will be a continued risk for flooding late Wednesday night and Thursday.

Brisk and gusty winds are expected outside of thunderstorms from Thursday into Friday with gusts over 30 MPH likely.
