Carthage 43, Blue Eye 50

The Carthage High School girls basketball team lost to Blue Eye 50-43 to finish their play in the 9th Annual Pink and White Lady Classic on Wednesday.

Hailey Fullerton was the top scorer for Carthage with 15 points. The Tigers are now 8-5 on the season and have a varsity and junior varsity matchup at Strafford on Tuesday, Jan. 5.

Carthage 57, Waynesville 78

The boys basketball team couldn’t mount a comeback after falling behind 24-9 in the first quarter against Waynesville in the third-place game at the Rolla U.S. Bank Holiday Varsity Tournament.

CHS Sophomore Max Templeman led all scoring with 23 points. Patrick Carlton finished with 15 points and Silas Templeman scored 11. Clay Kinder and Justin Ray had 4 points each to round out the scoring for Carthage.

Carthage is now 4-5 on the season and has a freshman, varsity and junior varsity matchup at Strafford on Tuesday, Jan. 5.
