Zelma Springer, 82, of Carthage went to be with the Lord Sunday, June 13, 2021 at her home. She was born March 13, 1939 in Reeds, MO. Zelma was the daughter of James and Lucille (Dunkle) Beam.
Zelma married William “Bill” Waters on September 10, 1954. She was the proud mother of 6 children, Sue (Leroy), Linda (Virgel), Billy preceded her in death in 1962, Walter (Sandra), Lisa and Kavan.
William “Bill” Waters preceded her in death on January 20, 2008. On December 30, 1975 Zelma married Dwight “Shorty” Springer, he had 2 children Jerry and Jean. Dwight preceded her in death November 26, 2008. They also proudly adopted Melissa and Julie Springer in 1986. During Zelma’s life she was the proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Zelma’s greatest accomplishment was her large family and her love for each one of them.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday June 16, 2021 at the Ulmer Funeral Home.
