It saddens us to announce the death of William Joe Baugh, of Carthage, Mo. He passed away with family present at Freeman Hospital on August 1, 2023.
Joe was born October 7, 1942, to Art and Irene Baugh.
He was preceded in death by both parents, brothers Artie Baugh, C.D. Baugh, Keith “Pistol” Baugh, and sister Linda (Baugh) White. He is survived by sisters Pat (Baugh) Mize of Joplin, Mo., Martha (Baugh) Tucker of Wichita, Kan., and Valetta (Baugh) Huff of Webb City, Mo.
Joe was married to Marilyn (Phillips) Baugh for 36 years and is survived by their three children, William Joe “Jody” Baugh Jr., Michelle (Baugh) Heger, Dewey Damon Baugh and son-in-law Joe Heger; five grandchildren, Joshua Baugh of Georgia, Jessica (Baugh) Stramel of Georgia, Jacob Babcock of Joplin, Mo., Zac Babcock of Carthage, Mo., Alexi (Babcock) Adams of Hollister, Mo.; and 10 great-grandchildren Knox, Jet, Nevaeh, Stella, Parker, Trinity, Cove, Wade, Stetson and Everly.
It is said the successful man is he who has lived well, loved much and laughed often. Joe Baugh was a tremendous success and he will be greatly missed.
To honor his memory, a Celebration of Life will be held on October 8, 2023, at Carthage Memorial Hall. All are welcome.
