Victor Joseph (Steve) Saiz, 52, of Carthage, MO passed peacefully from this life into the loving arms of our Lord on Sunday, August 29th, 2021 after a struggle with cancer.
Steve was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He had a passion for basketball, chess, and fishing. He battled multiple medical problems at a young age yet continued to walk in faith with the Lord. After moving to rural Missouri, he began working in nutritional services at Mercy Hospital in Carthage. People knew him by his warm smile and positive attitude.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 28 years, Holly; his children Amy (Rich) Hinkle of Carthage, MO and Michael (Kirsten) Saiz of Webb City, MO; his grandsons Aiden, Lucas, and Beckham; his brother Jim Saiz of Albuquerque, NM; his mother-in-law Carol Sealey, sister-in-law Karen (Joe) Nassif, brother-in-law Ron Sealey, brother-in-law John Sealey, sister-in-law Heather (Richard) Ortega all of Carthage, MO and multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Elizabeth Saiz of Albuquerque, NM and his father-in-law Milt Sealey of Carthage, MO.
Steve remained in good spirits with a great appreciation for life despite his failing health. His greatest passion was playing with his grandsons, and we know he will be watching over them.
