Rosemary Cox of Weatherford, Texas formerly of Carthage, Missouri died on September 8, 2020 in a Fort Worth, Texas hospital at the age of 88. Her Grandson; Pryce Marshall, was able to be with her in her final hours. She struggled with Alzheimer’s Disease for the final handful of years, and her death was abrupt but comfortable.

Rosemary was known by many as “Rosie” but in her family circle, she was Mumsey. She was so very proud of her Great Grandson, Ashton Marshall, he was the “chosen child” she absolutely admired him from the first day they met. She had several pictures of Ash around her home, virtually everywhere! Mumsey also had a Great Grand Daughter that she admired named Brighton Baker Marshall, as she said, “The most beautiful baby that there ever was”. Her Grandson, Pryce, and his wife Corinne Marshall visited and cared for their Mumsey daily. Corinne was an angel in Mumseys eye, she said regularly “Pryce I don’t know what you did to deserve Corinne, she’s just perfect” In the last year and a half of her days, Mumsey lived with her daughter, Dana Marshall.

Rosemary never met a stranger! She loved to visit “Walmarts” and would talk to store employees, other customers, kids, anyone that would chat with her! She looked forward to her “Permanent” and enjoyed going to the beauty shop. Even in her final days, she ironed clothes to pass the time. She loved animals, and they loved her feeding them human food several times a day! Her dog, Danny Boy, will miss her greatly. The neighborhood squirrels also loved Rosemary as she fed them whole peanuts along the fence line daily. One of the things that made her unique was that she would just tell you like it was, there wasn’t ever any “sugar coating” it. She also had an unusual love for sour cream, cottage cheese and garlic salt, she put that stuff on everything!
