Rolland E. Erskin, 79, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Landmark Hospital in Joplin.
Rolland was born August 2, 1941, in Carthage, MO to Roy and Ruth (Wilbur) Erskin. He was a lifetime resident of Jasper County and was employed by Carthage Marble, then Leggett & Platt Wire Mill for 38 years. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Rolland enjoyed fishing and entertaining family and friends during the Maple Leaf Festival.
Rolland was united in marriage to Carol Helms on September 11, 1962 in Carthage; she survives.
Rolland is also survived by two sons, Danny Erskin (Christy) and David Erskin (Connie), both of Carthage; one daughter, Kathy Mitchell (Scott) of Joplin; two brothers, Leonard Erskin of Monett and Richard Erskin of Joplin; one sister, Judy Erskin of Claremore, OK; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021, at First Church of the Nazarene in Carthage. Burial will be at Waters Cemetery in Jasper.
