Lustford “Buck” Meister, 78, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 in Kansas City, Missouri. Buck was born August 22, 1943 in Carthage, Missouri to Vernal Meister and Ella (Hoff) Meister. He was a longtime resident of Jasper County, Missouri. Over the years, Buck worked at Andrews Farms, Steadly’s Manufacturing, and Meister’s Lawn Care. He was a member of Blake Baptist Church in Sarcoxie, Missouri and a longstanding I.A.M. Union member.
Buck was united in marriage to Linda Stirewalt on April 12, 1963 at Bykota Baptist Church in Carthage, Missouri.
Buck is survived by his wife, Linda Meister; his son, Timothy Meister (Mahriya) of Carterville, Missouri; two daughters, Marcella Meister Barlow (Steve) of Carthage, Missouri and Shawntrell Boyer of Pittsburg, Kansas; a brother, Ernal Meister of Carthage, Missouri; one sister, Nancy Fonville (Chris) of Webb City, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren, Tanya, Bridget, Brooke, Clinton, David, Gennie, Nicklas, Jessica, Levi, Taven, Maseasha, Xach, H’ven, Zetthew, Dablaythyn, and Jacob; nineteen great grandchildren, Jade, Shelbee, Karly, Addison, Kaden, Brylee, Jaxon, Katlin, Khloe, Kylee, Damien, Dominic, Keegan, Jordan, Atticus, Little Ty, Izakaiya, Remington, and Zendaya; and one great great grandchild, Einsley.
Buck is preceded in death by one son, Vernal “David” Meister; his parents, Vernal and Ella Meister; and a brother, John Vernal Meister.
