John David Perkins, 59, of Gladstone, passed away February 12, 2021. Services will be at a later date, with inurnment at Antioch Cemetery in Nevada, Missouri.

David was born on May 4, 1961, in Springfield, MO, to John Charles and Glenda (Stiles) Perkins. He grew up in Carthage and was a graduate of Carthage High School, after which he attended Pittsburg State University. After college, he moved to the Kansas City area, where he worked in sales for various companies. David later opened Red Door Antiques in Waldo and also hosted Estate Sales through his company, Country Club Estates. He enjoyed “thrifting” and was always able to find good deals. David also had a successful career in warehouse management, in which he was still active until recently.

Outside of his work life, David enjoyed the outdoors and being on the lake. He especially loved his two German Shepherds, Bella and Roper.

David was preceded in death by his parents, John and Glenda Perkins; his sister, Deborah Perkins Davis; and his niece, Jennifer Davis Brown. He is survived by his husband, Larry Roland; his nephew, Jon Davis; three great-nephews and two great-nieces.
