Hannah Grace Hurlbut, 12, Carthage, Mo., passed away early Saturday morning, April 11, 2020, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Mo., with family by her side.
Hannah was born Feb. 28, 2008, in Joplin, Mo., to Keith and Ashley (Farran) Hurlbut. She was a 6th grade student at the Carthage Intermediate Center. Hannah was spunky and very full of life. She loved art, listening to music, singing, puzzles, board games, and spending time with her family and friends, whom she adored very much. She loved being in the honor choir at school and was also active in the Fellowship of Christian Students.
Survivors include her mother, Ashley Weston (Doug); her father, Keith Hurlbut (Nikki); brothers and sisters, Caleb Hurlbut, Olivia Hurlbut, Elizabeth Hurlbut, Cameron Weston, Blake Weston, Mason Weston, and Shelby Sleeth (Jacob); a nephew, Soren Sleeth; grandparents, Kim Gallentine, Chris Farran (Hollie), Ron Hurlbut (Marilee), Kelly Spencer (Scott), Tim Tommey, and Opal Weston; two great-grandparents; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a grandma, Gail Hurlbut, and a grandpa, Gary Weston.
Private family services will be held for Hannah at 11 a.m., Friday, April 17, 2020. Services will be available to view via live stream post on the Knell Mortuary Facebook page. A celebration of life will take place at a later date for everyone to attend. Hannah’s register book will be available for people to sign from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2020, through Thursday, April 16, 2020, at Knell Mortuary. Interment will take place in Park Cemetery, Carthage. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Hannah Grace Hurlbut Memorial Fund in care of Knell Mortuary.
