Anna May Turner, 97, Carthage, Missouri, passed away early Friday morning, June 11, 2021 at Sarcoxie Nursing Center, Sarcoxie, Missouri. Anna was born September 3, 1923 in Reeds, Missouri, the daughter of Ben Hoover and Dewetta (Parker) Hoover. Anna married James Edward Turner; he preceded her in death on May 3, 2001. Anna enjoyed antiquing and owned and operated Kentucky Street Flea Market in Joplin, Missouri. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Carthage.

Survivors include two sons, Ed Turner (Joyce), Webb City, Missouri, and Dennis Turner (Mary), Carthage, Missouri; a sister, Wilma Youngblood-Welch, Carthage, Missouri; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Melanie Dahlman; and three brothers, Jimmy Hoover, Herbert Hoover, and Fred Hoover.

Graveside funeral services will be held 10 am, Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Park Cemetery, Carthage. The family will receive friends from 9 am until departing for the cemetery at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com.
