UPDATE: Additional charges filed in Henson case

After further investigation in the missing person report from January that led to the arrest of Grant and Bryan Henson in Jasper County, Detectives located another 13 year old female victim from another county in Northern Missouri that occurred in July of 2021.

Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, four additional charges were filed in Jasper County on Grant Henson, 19, of Joplin. The new charges are as follows: Statutory Rape 1st, Kidnapping 1st, Statutory Sodomy 1st (X2).

On Friday, January 21, 2022, Jasper County Deputies responded to a check on the welfare of a 13 year-old female juvenile who was reported missing out of East Prairie, Missouri.

During the investigation, it was found that 19 year-old, Grant Henson had drove 5 hours to East Prairie, Missouri where he picked up the 13 year-old girl and drove her back to Jasper County to his residence located at 4183 W. Cactus Lane in Joplin where she was held against her will and sexually assaulted.

Grant was arrested and charges were filed by the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office for Kidnapping 1st  and Sodomy 1st. There is no bond for Grant.

Bryan Henson

Also discovered during the investigation, Bryan Henson, 22, was found be with a 16 year old female juvenile at the residence on Cactus Lane. Bryan was arrested and charges were filed for Statutory Rape 2nd with a $100,000 bond.
