Carthage Red, White & Boom 4th of July Celebration has something for everyone


CARTHAGE, Mo. — It is the 4th of July on Monday and Carthage has a full day planned for everyone. The Carthage Chamber of Commerce along with the Carthage Parks & Recreation Department and the City of Carthage, invite you to celebrate your Independence Day at the Red, White & Boom 4th of July Celebration at the Carthage Municipal Park.

“The Carthage Chamber is excited to have partnered with the Carthage Parks and the City of Carthage to put on this event for the community,” said Julie Reams, President of the Carthage Chamber. “We are so lucky to have some great sponsors that have helped to make this event fun for all that attend,” added Reams.

This years event includes a 5K, golf scramble, food vendors, arts & crafts vendors, watermelon feed provided by Midwest Ag Supply, along with lots of fun family games throughout the park and free rides at the Kiwanis Kiddieland and much more. The Fair Acres YMCA is hosting a community free swim from noon-8 p.m. at the municipal pool.

“We are so thankful for the partnerships like the YMCA in offering this event to the public. It’s because of these organizations we are able to make this event bigger & better every year,” said Reams.


On-stage entertainment will begin at 2pm with a kids dance party, Singer/Musical Cole Morris will take the stage at 4 p.m. followed by the band, Stone Country at 7:30 p.m., fireworks will follow the evening entertainment.
