DEBBIE BARNETT, a vocalist and pianist for many years, a mother and about-to-be-published poet, first learned the love of making art in her family and now brings us her exquisite mandala paintings created with emotions and passion that shine through in brilliant colors and intricate designs. Hearing her burst into song when she delivered her beauties caused my eyes to tear and my heart to sing along with her!

KRISTIN GIRARD, using her education in microbiology while borrowing ample inspiration from the natural world she cherishes, has created stunning copper jewelry using her electroforming method and incorporating sterling silver or beads or precious stones into her fabulously unique collectible jewelry. I want one of each so I can wear the lovely feeling of her effervescent spirit!

BRENDA HAYES, the popular magical artist found on weekends at the Joplin Empire Market, will offer one-of-a-kind handmade journals, whimsical hats and scarves, delightfully intimate paintings and decorative treasures made with bits of the old lovingly upcycled with pieces of the new. I never can have enough of her whimsy and joy to take home with me!

JANE MCCAULLEY, is known throughout southwest Missouri as a gifted art teacher (especially at artCentral’s summer artCamp) and the imaginative creator of a world of beautiful, sparkling glass art that is sure to bring joy to any and every environment—homes and offices and the gifting season. One of her ornaments hangs as a welcome on our mailbox in Paradise!

In the Membership Gallery you will discover the irresistible jewelry accessories created by guest artist MARILYN YORK of Kansas City. In the Boardroom Boutique you will find my own art prints and cards along with artful selections from many other artCentral artists.

With fifty-four contributing artists donating their studio-made SMALL WORKS | GREAT WONDERS, this year’s SILENT AUCTION, dancing on the walls of the Foyer and Front Gallery, is truly amazing! Come find the 5×7 creations that speak to your heart, and place your beginning bids (most start at $10.00) or claim a really special one for the pocket friendly “Buy Now” bid.

Celebrity artist ANDY THOMAS once again has generously shared his talents with his oil, “Choosing the Perfect Tree”—a truly “perfect”, framed winter landscape—so  “perfect” for beginning or adding to your personal collection of works by artCentral artists.

For this HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE artCentral is again offering elegant, scarlet Amaryllis bulbs cultivated to bloom through the holidays. They are presented this year in unique, artist-made clay planters bedecked with festive bows. Modestly priced at $30.00 each, this year’s Amaryllis edition is limited, so put your order in soon at (417) 358-4404 or [email protected]. All proceeds are dedicated to artCentral’s work on behalf of the art and artists that enrich the cultural life of Carthage and our neighboring communities.

From October 7 through December 3, visit the HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE at Hyde House. See how the artists of artCentral are celebrating with art this inspiring season! Come and celebrate with them!
