In Memory of William “Bill” Davis age 71 passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in Springfield, Mo. Bill was born February 15, 1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana to William Louis Davis and Betty Maxine (Grunert) Davis.
On September 3, 1971 Bill married Jo Ann Baker in Miami, Oklahoma. They made their home in Carthage, Mo., together they raised four children.
Bill worked at different places Big Smith, Fair Acres Nursing Home and Davis Salvage Yard which was owned by his father.
Survivors include four children: Nathaniel (April) Davis, William Davis of Springfield, Mo., Georgia Coleman, Lamar,Mo., Teresa St Clair, Carl Junction, Mo.. Four siblings Ron (Karen), Carthage, Mo., Rex (Teri) Davis, Lamar, Mo., Connie Barnett, Branson, Mo., Sharon Johnson, Decatur, Illinois. Brother in law Chuck Bowman, Lamar, Mo., sister in law Barbara Hargett, Palm Dale, California, nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and lots of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brother Kenneth Davis and sister Sherry Bowman.
There will be a gathering at Oak Hill Cemetery Carthage, Mo., Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 11 a.m. We would like to welcome family and friends to come; as we reunite Bill and Jo Ann together again.
Miss this guy! He worked for my Dad for many years. He always made people smile and laugh wherever he was. Great guy!
