Nancy Sue Williams, 87, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Saturday evening, March 1, 2025 at Mercy Hospital Joplin, Missouri. Nancy was born September 22, 1937 in Carthage, Missouri, the daughter of the late James and Martha (Porter) Yoes. Nancy grew up in Carthage and graduated from Carthage High School. She married Hershel Williams and to this union four sons were raised, he preceded her in death on January 25, 2021. Nancy was a Christian in faith; she enjoyed the outdoors, going to the lake, and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include three sons, Jeromy Williams (Kari), Carthage, Jim Williams (Nancy), Carthage, and Todd Williams, Carthage, Missouri; several grand and great grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Bobby Williams; a grandson, Christopher Williams; a great granddaughter, Italee Vail Williams; two sisters, Mary Lou Nielson, and Marcella Almasy.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am, Thursday, March 6, 2025 at the Park Cemetery, Carthage, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Knell Mortuary.
