Lucy “Ann” Mitchell

Lucy “Ann” Mitchell, 91, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, surrounded by her family. Ann was born on November 6, 1932, in Jasper County, Missouri, to Earnest E. Morgan and Lola (Williams) Morgan. She lived in Carthage throughout her life and retired as a seamstress from Big Smith after 30 years.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, John Mitchell; her youngest daughter, Jonita Beth; two brothers; and four sisters.

She is survived by her two daughters, Derinda Malone and husband, Teryl, Seneca, Missouri, and Scarlett Kuhn and husband, Bobby, Loma Linda, Missouri; and son, Blane Mitchell and wife, Jodie, Carthage.

She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, whose heart overflowed with love for her family. Ann leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and faithfulness. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return. We will treasure the memories we shared with her and find comfort in the knowledge that she is watching over us from her heavenly home.

Mom and Grandma, your love and faith have left an impact on our lives, and we will carry your spirit with us always. May you rest in peace, reunited with your beloved Jesus, until we meet again in the arms of our Savior.
