Janelle P. Maneval, 83, Carthage, Missouri, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2024, at Mercy Hospital, Carthage. She was born on February 25, 1940, in Carthage, Missouri, the daughter of the late Lewis Trimble and Berniece (Johnston) Trimble. Janelle’s presence was a testament to the enduring bonds of home and family, and her life was a beautiful quilt, stitched together with love.
She was a proud graduate of Carthage High School, class of 1957. Janelle married the love of her life, Ken Maneval, on May 28, 1960, in Carthage Missouri; he preceded her in death on August 24, 1989. She dedicated herself to creating a warm and loving home, a task at which she excelled. Her role as a homemaker was one she held dear, ensuring that her children grew up in an environment filled with care and meticulous attention.
She is survived by her children, Kendra Maneval, Carthage, Missouri, Kevin Maneval, Wilmington, North Carolina, Kim Kubicki (husband Steve), Overland Park, Kansas, and Kurt Maneval, Carthage, Missouri; her grandson, Ethan Maneval, Asheville, North Carolina; and many extended family and friends.
Those who knew Janelle will remember her for her loving nature, her thoughtful ways, and her passionate approach to life. Her hobbies were an extension of her love for beauty and her artistic flair. An expert in quilting, embroidering, and needlework, Janelle created many beautiful articles of clothing and home decorations that will serve as cherished keepsakes for her family and friends. But beyond her skills with needle and thread, Janelle’s greatest joy was found in the time she spent with her family. Whether it was a simple family dinner, a holiday gathering, or supporting her children in their endeavors, she was always there, offering her unwavering support and love.
