Helen Louise Lamb, 93, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Thursday evening, December 9, 2021, at St. Luke’s Nursing Center, Carthage. Helen was born August 6, 1928, in Pittsburg, Kansas, the daughter of James Jacob Johnson and Ruth Arvey (Plumlee) Johnson. She was a graduate of Pittsburg High School, Pittsburg, Kansas. Helen married Don Lamb on August 25, 1946, in Pittsburg, Kansas. She worked as a salesclerk for Ramsay’s and for Belk Department Store until her retirement. She was a faithful Christian by faith. Helen was a member of Bridge Club, Women’s Club in Girard, Kansas, and she enjoyed singing in the church choir and bowling.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Lamb, Carthage, Missouri; three daughters, Linda Lamb Brust, Carthage, Missouri, Debbie Curry (Dan), Carthage, Missouri, and Becky Tilton (Marvin), Elkland, Missouri; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy Johnson; and many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Rex Johnson and Babe Johnson; and two sisters, Barbara Brecht and Lou Brecht.

Graveside funeral services will be held 1 pm, Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Girard Cemetery, Girard Kansas. The family will receive friends at Debbie and Dan Curry’s house, 1141 Belle Air Place, Carthage, Missouri, from 6-8 pm, Monday, December 13, 2021.
