Betty “Geri” Geraldine Overstreet’s beautiful soul left this Earthly adventure to embark on her Heavenly adventure on August 19, 2019 in Sacramento, CA.
Geri was born on July 21, 1925 to Fred and Lennie Irene (Brand) Copeland in Monarch, Oklahoma. On July 10, 1942 she married Jess Morgan “Spark” Overstreet. Together they had 6 children, Nancy, Gregory, Scott, David, Denise and Gerald.
Geri loved God, her family and Skittles candy. She touched the lives of every person that was lucky enough to meet her, no matter where or when they met her. She seemed to always know what to say and always had the best hugs. Her stories of life are ones that could be listened to for hours. Geri served as Treasurer for her apartment community for over 30 years and would cook breakfast for hundreds of people quite often. She made sure that nobody left with an empty stomach or empty heart.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jess, her siblings, and 2 of her sons, Scott and David. She is survived by her honored and proud descendants: her children Nancy Cook, Denise Gauthier. Gregory Overstreet, and Gerald Overstreet of California, her grandchildren John Cook, Dion Cook, Michael Cook, Danielle Solanski, Jennifer Clark, Breanna Gauthier, Brittani Overstreet, Joey Overstreet, Randy Overstreet, Kayla Oversteet and Isaac Hoelle of California, Melissa Watts and Kevin Overstreet of Oregon, Scott Overstreet of Arizona, Karyn White and Rebecca Daugherty of Missouri and many, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Geri will be cremated at Evergreen Memorial in Sacramento, California.
