Allen LeRoy Powers, age 97, lifelong resident of Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the Carthage Health and Rehab. He was born on February 20, 1922 to the late James and Nettie (Lanning) Powers. He married Etta Marie Brown; she preceded him in death on September 1, 2001. He worked his whole life as a carpenter. He loved his animals, but especially his friends, and family.
Survivors include a daughter, Annette Jones, Sarcoxie, Mo; and several grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Powers; and a daughter, Jeannie Powers.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, December 23, 2019 at the Powers Cemetery, east of Diamond, MO. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of the Knell Mortuary.
