A Carthage woman allegedly kidnapped and pistol-whipped her girlfriend, according to charges filed Friday by the Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney’s office.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Christina Marie Hull (DOB 1990) on charges of domestic assault, kidnapping, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. Bond was set at $10,000- $5,000 cash and $5,000 surety.

According to the probable cause statement, the alleged victim told the Carthage Police Department Hull pistol whipped her three times in the face and hit her in the stomach four times.

Victim 1 then advised that Hull pointed the firearm at her face and threatened to kill her. Victim 1 advised that the assault took place on the bed due to Hull pinning Victim I down with her knee. Victim 1 advised Hull spit in her face approximately 30 times and continued to slap her with an open hand. Victim 1 stated that Hull would sarcastically state that she was sorry, and she would never hit Victim 1 again and then hit Victim I again.

The probable cause statement indicated the alleged victim’s face was severely bruised and she had dried blood on her scalp and right ear.

Hull told police she did not beat the woman and that she received her bruises in another fight. She said she had owned a firearm, but sold it a year ago, according to the statement.

The alleged victim said she and Hull “had been in a romantic relationship on and off for the past year,” the statement said.
