Southwest Missouri I’m Diggin’ It Metal Detecting Club Meeting December 2025

CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Carthage based I’m Diggin’ It Metal Detecting Club met at 8 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, at the Carthage Braum’s for their monthly meeting.

The club discussed and showcased some of their finds from the previous month. Finds from the previous month are eligible to enter to win a prize, with the winners for each category voted on by the members in attendance.

Category winners were:

  • Civil War: M1841 Mississippi Rifle Bullet, Tom Bayless
  • Jewelry: Lyre Harp pin, Jarrod Miller
  • Nicest Coin: None entered
  • Oldest Coin: 1925 Mercury Dime, Jarrod Miller
  • Relic: 5¢ in Commissary Merchandise Capital Coal & Coke Company, Tom Bayless
  • Token: Max Peters Bar 2 1/2 cent token, Tom Bayless
  • Toy: None entered

Each category winner receives a silver dime as a prize.

Members present were: President Tom Bayless, Treasurer David Hoover, Matt Barrett, Jarrod Miller, Logan Myers and Jerry Harris.

After the meeting, members went and hunted around the area. A good time was had by all.

The next meeting will be held Saturday, Jan. 3, 2025 at Braum’s. Don’t forget your finds.
