Carterville, Reeds residents injured in 2-motorcycle collision

Two people were injured in a two-motorcycle collision 12:30 p.m. today on Route V one mile north of Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a Honda CBR600F motorcycle driven by an 18-year-old Reeds man followed too closely and rear-ended a Honda CRF450R motorcycle driven by a 24-year-old Carterville man.

Both drivers were ejected from their vehicles.

The drivers were treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Carthage.
