CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Carthage based I’m Diggin’ It Metal Detecting Club met at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Carthage Braum’s for their monthly meeting.
The club members discussed and showcased some of their finds from the previous month. Finds from the previous month are eligible to enter to win a prize, with the winners for each category voted on by the members in attendance.
Category winners were:
- Civil War: None entered
- Jewelry: 14k Gold Ring, Bill H.
- Nicest Coin: 1942 Mercury Dime, Dan T.
- Oldest Coin: 1898 Indian Head Penny, Dan T.
- Relic: Vintage Barbara Gauld Compact, Frank T.
- Token: Trade Token, Dan T.
- Toy: 1954 Tex-A-Toy Dime, Dan T.
Each category winner receives a silver dime as a prize.
Members present were: President Tom B., Treasurer David H., Ambree H., Jarrod M., Jerry H., Bill H., Frank T. and Dan T.
The club welcomed new member Ken G.
After the meeting, members went and hunted in the area. A good time was had by all.
