You’ve heard the saying that when one great thing passes another great thing comes along to take its place.

You’re probably saying to yourself right now, “No, not really.” Well, you have now.

To my point; another great year of Maple Leaf has passed and for another great thing to take its place you need only turn to Stone’s Throw Dinner Theatre.

On Saturday, Nov. 3, we will hold our second annual Team Trivia Challenge.

Teams of eight (or less if your team doesn’t need the additional brain power) will compete for bragging rights, and some cool prizes.

Being a part of a night of team trivia competition is a blast. I had never participated in team trivia until I was part of our first one last year. It was crazy.

Teams came representing all sorts of different themes. There was the team representing the movie, Grease.

There were the Trivia Sharks and many more.

You’re allowed to bring your own food. I thought teams would bring things like chips and soda. Wrong! They brought things like casseroles, pizza…you name it.

It was a party atmosphere the entire evening. You can sign up your team by calling 358-9665. The cost to play is $10 per person or a team of 8 for $80. I thought I’d save you some time by doing the math for you. You’re welcome.

Better call soon. Nov. 3 is only 10 days from now.

You had probably better call soon to make reservations for our Christmas play as well.

If It’s Monday, This Must Be Christmas opens on Nov. 29 for eight performances over two weekends.

That date might seem a long way off but we are already close to filling some of the dates. We are fortunate in that reservations for our Christmas play typically go fairly quickly so don’t wait too long.

In order to help you complete your holiday season calendar keep in mind that Stone’s Throw will be celebrating the last of 2018 and the coming of 2019 with our annual New Year’s Eve Murder Mystery. More on that later.

Well, there you have it. Several great things coming up at Stone’s Throw. Hope to see you there soon and often.

Thanks for reading.
