Stone’s Throw Dinner Theatre is proud to announce its upcoming production of The Game’s Afoot, a hilarious and suspense-filled comedy by Ken Ludwig.  Produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., shows will be on March 22, 23, & 24, and March 29, 30, & 31.

Winner of the 2012 Mystery Writers of America Edgar Allen Poe Award for Best Play, this is sure to be another crowd pleaser.  Ken Ludwig’s ability to combine believable characters in hilarious circumstances delivers another show full of mishaps and misadventures.

Directed by Stone’s Throw veteran Neal Ruggeberg, The Game’s Afoot takes us back to December, 1936, where Broadway star William Gillette, admired the world over for his leading role in the play Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow cast members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry.  But when one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities in this isolated house of tricks and mirrors quickly turn dangerous.  It is then up to Gillette himself, as he assumes the persona of his beloved Holmes, to track down the killer before the next victim appears.  The danger and hilarity are non-stop in this glittering whodunit set during the Christmas holidays.
