Webb City Historical Society Annual Meeting April 5

There will be a  Membership Meeting at 1 pm this Saturday, April 5 in the Nichols Room of the Webb City Public Library, 101 South Liberty Street.

We’ll be electing 3 general board members, hearing about society finances, & collecting ideas for society projects.

The Webb City Historical Society is committed to preserving, sharing and celebrating Webb City history.

Then at 2 pm stay for a free program sponsored by the Webb City Public Library:

Lucile Morris Upton and Other Fearless Female Journalists

Lucile Morris was an independent career woman who left home more than a century ago, worked in Denver, El Paso, and then the Ozarks, making a name for herself across the region. Hear stories of how there were always women ahead of her and of her profound influence in causing the Ozarks region to begin to preserve icons of Ozarks history.
