Here are some of the more unique collections at this sale:

  • There’s a new category on “Homesteading/Farming” in the Reference section, hopping on the popularity of backyard farming and self-sufficiency.
  • Cookbooks are now categorized for easy searching, including celebrity chefs, vegetarians, and cookbooks for kids. The Fragile/Collectible section is a collection of cookbooks from 1930 to the 1950s.
  • There is a large collection of art prints and pictures, some framed and/or matted.
  • The sale includes a huge bookmark collection and hundreds of eclectic books including collectible literature, poetry, and general fiction donated by the late, long-term Drury University librarian Judith Armstrong.
  • In honor of National Poetry Month, the Friends note they have a large collection in the Poetry section.
  • There’s an unusually large collection in Better Books-Science Fiction, including the ever-popular Stephen King.
  • The Friends encourage shoppers to come early in the week, as popular authors such as Stephen King, Agatha Christie, and C. J. Box sell out early, as does the Bestseller category in Better Books-Fiction.
