Joplin, MO – The Honors Program at Missouri Southern State University recently welcomed 35 incoming freshmen to campus for a signing ceremony.
During the April 24 ceremony, the students penned their intent to join the university’s Honors Program. They were selected from an applicant pool of more than 110 and represent the best students the area has to offer.
The Honors Program offers a four-year curriculum that includes study abroad, research and service components. The criteria for application to the program are scoring a 28 or better on the ACT, having a 3.7 GPA or being in the top 10 percent of the graduating class.
