CARTHAGE, Mo. – Community Bank & Trust has awarded $10,000 to Vision Carthage in support of the Restoration Carthage Program. This program provides free exterior home repairs to Carthage residents in need. A check presentation will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 10, at 812 S. River Street, in Carthage. All are welcome to attend.
This address is one of the homes selected for this year’s Restoration Carthage Work Day, which will take place on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Volunteers will be paired with several homes across Carthage in need of TLC. All skill levels are invited to participate. To volunteer, visit VisionCarthage.org/restoration-carthage.
“We are beyond grateful for this generous gift from CBT,” said Sally Stuart, Co Director of Vision Carthage. “The homeowner of 812 S. River was moved to tears when we informed her that her home had been selected as one of our properties for improvement. This means the world to her and grants like the one we’ve received from CBT mean the world to us.”
The grant will fund materials and supplies for homes selected for repairs through the Restoration Carthage Program. Homeowners are selected after attending at least three of the home improvement classes or workshops hosted each month leading up to the work day in September.
