Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision 3:13 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, on Garrison Avenue two miles south of Carthage.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1995 Buick LeSabre driven by a 31-year-old Stella man crossed the center of the roadway and struck a 2017 Ford Fusion driven by a 50-year-old Webb City man head on. Both vehicles traveled off the right side of the roadway and the LeSabre overturned.
Carthage Fire, Mercy Ambulance, and Jasper County Deputies initially responded. The Missouri State Highway Patrol Major Crash Investigation Unit (MCIU) investigated the crash. According to the report, the Stella man was not wearing a safety device. Both drivers were treated for serious injuries at Mercy Joplin.
