CARTHAGE, Mo.— Carthage Water & Electric Plant (CWEP) invites the community to make a difference while having fun during its annual Splash into Giving event on Friday, August 14, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Food Truck Friday in Central Park.
The family-friendly event combines community giving with a chance to dunk CWEP employees in a dunk tank, all while supporting two important local causes: Carthage Bright Futures and the CWEP C.A.R.E.S. Program.
Community members can earn dunk tank throws by making donations that benefit local students and families:
- Bring school supplies to the CWEP office (627 W. Centennial Ave.) before the event or directly to the CWEP booth at Food Truck Friday on August 14th to benefit Carthage Bright Futures and receive 3 throws.
- Make a donation to the CWEP C.A.R.E.S. Program during the event and receive 3 throws.
Each donation includes 3 throws, giving participants plenty of chances to send CWEP employees into the water while supporting meaningful causes.
“Splash Into Giving is a fun way for our community to come together and make a real impact,” said Meagan Milliken, CWEP Public Relations Manager. “Whether you’re donating a backpack, bringing school supplies, or supporting the CWEP C.A.R.E.S. Program, every contribution helps local students and families while creating a memorable day for everyone involved.”
