CARTHAGE, Mo. — A woman was found dead Wednesday afternoon in a room of the Quality Inn & Suites Motel on Hazel Street in Carthage.
Carthage police Chief Bill Hawkins said at 2:18 p.m. a call came in about a woman who had apparently been dead for an extended period of time before she was found.
He said the woman had not yet been identified and that investigators were still checking on hotel records to see when she had checked in.
