Boren, Susan Ann (nee Sergent) Left her life here on Earth to join her loved ones in Heaven on Thursday, December 21, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Daniel Boren. Dearest mother of Sara (Adam) Luesse and Lindsay (Jacob) Pashia. Loving grandmother of Emma, Ella, Will, Easton and Joey. Dear daughter of the late Dwight and Evelyn (nee Davolt) Sergent. Dear sister of Ron (Marsha) Sergent and Christi (Rob) Wolverton. Our dear sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend.

A loving mother, caring friend and devoted grandmother, Susan never missed an opportunity to show her humble kindness to others. Whether she was giving her time to Girl Scouts or PTO when her girls were young, working one day a week as a Zoo Volunteer in retirement, or serving as a member of the Terre Du Lac Board, Sue lived life with a fierce independence, yet full of care for her people. She never missed an opportunity to shower her grandchildren with love, driving all over Missouri (and sometimes further) to watch them cheer, play baseball or hockey or sing in their school choir. An avid traveler, Sue made sure to visit as many places as she could, including hiking Diamond Head in Hawaii, seeing the wonders in Australia and New Zealand and visiting every State aside from Alaska. In her downtime at home, she enjoyed watching sports as well as working on puzzles, collecting lighthouses, cross-stitching, reading books, watching Hallmark movies and playing golf or cards with her friends. As we live without her presence, we are so grateful for all the lessons we learned from her and ache for the ones we will miss. Here’s to her life filled with love — we hope she is enjoying all the margaritas and root beer floats she wants in Heaven.

SERVICES: Visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Road on Tuesday, December 26, 3 PM until time of funeral ceremony at 6 PM. Burial will be private. Memorials to St. Louis Zoo Friends Association appreciated.
