The Lady Tiger basketball team kicked off their 2021-2022 season with a tough loss to Kickapoo, but followed up with a win against Hillcrest in their home opener.
Friday, Nov. 19 vs. Kickapoo
Score 33-75
Kianna Yates led the Tigers with 12 points. Sophie Shannon and Maggie Boyd finished with five points each. Presley Probert added 3 points and Raven Probert, Zye Clark, Landry Cochran and Daniel Marquez rounded out the scoring with 2 points a piece.
As a team, the lady Tigers went 5 for 10 (50%) from the free thrown line.
The JV team also lost to Kickapoo with a final score of 5-51 and the freshman “C” team lost 8-49.
Tuesday, Nov. 23 vs. Hillcrest
Score 60-50
Kianna Yates was all over the floor and couldn’t be contained by Hillcrest en route to her game-high 21 points. Sophie Shannon chipped in 10 points followed by Landry Cochran with 8 points. Freshman Maggie Boyd added 7 points off the bench for the Tigers. Sisters Presley Probert and Raven Probert added 6 and 5 respectively with Daniela Marquez adding 3 points in the game.
The JV team bested Hillcrest with a final score of 39-19 and the freshmen also followed suit beating Hillcrest 26-5 to complete the sweep.

The JV will be in Marshfield for the JV tournament Monday, Nov. 29 vs. Skyline. Varsity will host the Lady Tigers Invitational Wednesday, Dec. 1-Saturday, Dec. 4.
