MSSU’s Diaz shines at Emporia State

EMPORIA, Kan. – The Missouri Southern volleyball team got a strong night from senior Alyssa Diaz, but the Lions fell three sets to none tonight at Emporia State inside White Auditorium.

Individual set scores were 22-25, 21-25 and 18-25. The loss moves the Lions to 0-3 and 0-1 in MIAA play.

Highlighting the night for the Lions was Diaz’s performance as she hit .567 11 kills and five aces.

The Lions are back at it this Thursday as Southern plays host to Pittsburg State inside the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center. First serve is set for 6 pm.
