Severe Winter Weather has affected Carthage and is expected to continue through Tuesday. Temps are expected to reach record lows of -10 in actual temps and precipitation contributing to even lower wind chills. This page will be updated throughout the winter weather alert to keep.
Shelters:
The Carthage Crisis Center lobby is available from 6 A.M. to 9 P.M. in the evenings. If one needs to stay overnight, they must pass a warrant check, and be interviewed and approved for space. 100 S. Main Street
Fair Acres Family YMCA has limited capacity at their main facility on 2600 S. Grand from 12 P.M. to 5 P.M.
