8th Grade
The Carthage 8th grade girls basketball team lost to Branson 40-13 to end their season. Chasity Straw led Carthage in scoring with 7 points. Sadie Comer added 4 points and Emma Denney finished with 2 points. Straw had 7 rebounds followed by Comer with 3 rebounds. Lottie Youngblood, Denney and Breali Hoover added 2 rebounds apiece.
The Tigers were 2-13 on the season.

7th Grade
The Carthage 7th grade girls defeated Neosho 21-16 to advance to the COC tournament as the seventh seed. They will play Branson at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, at Joplin Middle School.
They are now 6-8 on the season and have a 4-game winning streak.
