On Tuesday, December 1st, 2020, Robert “Bob” Hawkins, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 80 in Parsons, Kansas.
Robert was born on August 7th, 1940, in Monegaw Springs, Missouri to Robert and Edith Hawkins. Bob attended and graduated high school at Osceola High School, in 1958. Bob spent his entire work career in the cheese business. He was a formulation’s manager at Schreiber Foods. On August 21, 1971, he married Judy Alene Kottwitz in Osceola, MO. They raised a daughter, Heather, and a son, Corey. Bob had a love for the outdoors and spent many hours gardening, fishing, and camping with family and friends. He was a member of Forest Park Carthage.
Bob was preceded in death by his father Robert, mother Edith, brother Clifford, and son David.
He is survived by his wife, Judy, and 5 children, Corey (Christie Hawkins), Heather (Adam Lee), Craig (Ardith Hawkins), Steve, and Angela (Mike Haywood). He was a beloved papa to 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-7 pm, Friday, December 4, 2020, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Forest Park Baptist Church, Carthage. Interment will follow the service at Park Cemetery, Carthage. The family suggests contributions the Forest Park Baptist Church in care of the Knell Mortuary.
