Mary Ann Simrell, 92, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Saturday morning, January 2, 2021 at Maple Tree Terrace, Carthage. Mary was born April 27, 1928 on the farm in Polo, Missouri, the daughter of Harry Burdick and Druzilla (Jacobs) Burdick. She was a graduate from Richmond High School, Richmond, Missouri. In her early years, she was a homemaker raising her two children, and then she later went to work for the IRS for 25 plus years, until her retirement. Mary loved gardening and was a member of the Master Gardeners Club in Carthage.
Survivors include her daughter, Dee Kamerman (Bob), Colleyville, Texas; her son, Robert Lee Simrell, Jr. (Doris), Sarcoxie, Missouri; four grandchildren, Robert Lee Simrell III (Tracey), William Simrell, Michael Kamerman (Lorinda), and Christie (Kamerman) Panno (Ryan); and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Joan Stone.
Services are pending and will be announced by the Knell Mortuary.
