Marjorie Lorene “Margie” Robertson, 95, Carthage, Missouri, passed away Friday afternoon, January 15, 2021 at Mercy Hospital, Carthage. Margie was born September 9, 1925 in Bowers Mill, Missouri, the daughter of Everett Chandler and Edith (Moore) Chandler. Margie married Lawrence W. Robertson on March 15, 1942 in Fairview, Missouri. She worked in the food service department for Hawthorne Elementary School in Carthage, and after her retirement, worked as a cook at Taco Town in Carthage. She loved quilting, crafting, flowers, and music. She was a member of the Grand Avenue Church of God, Carthage.
Survivors include a daughter, Connie Goodman (Robert), Carthage; a son, Terrance Robertson, Wichita, Kansas; two daughters-in-law, Barbara Robertson, Carthage, and Fran Robertson, Pelham, Alabama; three grandchildren, Susan Goodman, Centerton, Arkansas, Philip Robertson (Melissa), Warr Acres, Oklahoma, and Nathan Robertson, Carthage; and nine great-grandchildren, Crystal, Alexander, Abigail, Aaron, Adin, Amariah, Ananias, Anna, and Azriel; a great-great-grandchild, Ashleigh; and many other extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence W. Robertson, Sr.; two sons, Lawrence W. Robertson, Jr., and Randall Robertson; a brother, Jay L. “Jerry” Chandler; and a sister, Norma Jean Lancaster.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Grand Avenue Church of God, Carthage. Interment will follow the service at Grays Point Cemetery, Miller, Missouri.
